JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Local Driver will report to the Materials supervisor. In a fast-paced environment like production, the Driver is an integral part of the manufacturing process; this requires optimizing day to day activities while minimizing the costs.
- Primary responsibilities of the position are to load product on flatbed, process outsource paperwork on the computer, deliver products to local vendor for processing, and return and receive finished products.
- Making local deliveries and pickups
- Supporting shipping and Receiving
- Maintaining Inbound/Outbound logs
- Complete shipping reports daily, weekly, monthly
Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a good work and attendance history, a safety-first attitude, good communication skills, and the flexibility to work overtime. Must have forklift experience, and be proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). MRP Receiving/Shipping experience preferred. Must have a clean driving record and three years of flatbed experience. Must be able to read work instructions and other work documents, write production and quality information.
EDUCATION:
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of work experience, including at least one year performing the same or similar job function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
